My 2026 Wellness Plan

When it comes to wellness, many of us have followed the same pattern. We create a plan, set the goals, and promise ourselves that this will be the time we finally stay consistent. And yet, somewhere along the way, it often falls apart. Not because we do not care, and not because we lack discipline, but because the plan does not truly fit the life or the body we are living in.

In this season of life, I have come to realise that wellness needs to feel supportive, not restrictive. It needs to move with us, not against us. That is why my approach to 2026 looks very different. It is not about perfection or rigid routines. It is about building something flexible, realistic, and deeply aligned with what my body actually needs.

Over the past year, my body has asked a lot of me. Navigating chronic health challenges, including a period where I was facing spinal compression and the possibility of surgery, shifted everything. There were days where movement felt limited and days where even simple tasks required more energy than usual. That experience made one thing very clear. A rigid, all-or-nothing approach to wellness is not sustainable when your body has changing needs.

Coming out of that season, I made a quiet decision. I would create a wellness plan that allows for variation. One that holds both the good days and the harder ones. One that does not fall apart the moment life becomes full.

Instead of a long list of rules, I built my plan around five supportive pillars.

1. Movement — Creating a Movement Menu

For a long time, I believed movement only counted if it looked structured or productive. That belief kept me stuck. Now I use what I call a Movement Menu. Each day I choose an option based on how my body feels. Sometimes it is a gentle walk. Sometimes it is stretching or restorative yoga. Other days it might be light strength work. And sometimes it is rest.

Rest is part of the plan, not a failure of it. This approach removes pressure and allows movement to feel supportive again.

2. Sleep — Protecting the Foundation

Sleep is one of the most powerful supports for wellbeing. When I am well rested, everything shifts. My mood, my clarity, and my ability to regulate stress all improve.

My focus is not on perfect sleep, but on protecting it where I can. This means being mindful of how I wind down in the evening and giving myself permission to rest rather than pushing through when I am tired.

3. Stress — Supporting the Nervous System

This year is about truly living what I teach. That does not mean adding more practices. It means returning to simple ones consistently.

I check in with myself in the morning. I take conscious breaths during the day. I create a gentler rhythm in the evening. I am also more aware of what I consume, from conversations to media, because my nervous system responds to all of it.

4. Nourishment — Supporting the Whole Body

Nourishment goes beyond food, although food is an important part of it. It is about supporting my body with what it actually needs rather than following external rules.

Hydration is something I have had to become more intentional about. Beyond the physical, nourishment also includes the emotional and mental spaces I am in. The conversations I engage in and the quiet moments I allow all contribute to how supported I feel.

5. Grace — Holding It All Together

Grace is the pillar that holds everything together. This plan is not about getting it right every day.

There will be days where things do not go to plan. Days where life feels full and the structure softens. Grace allows those days to exist without turning them into failure. Instead of starting over, I simply begin again from where I am.

This approach to wellness is not about doing more. It is about creating something that can hold you through real life. Something you can return to without pressure.
